Video Presentation & SMART goals

As part of our submission we are required to record a 7 minute presentation video, summarising the steps carried out to create the prototype. I wanted to spend a bit of time learning Adobe Premiere Pro, an advanced video-editing software. We were also asked to create a video back in Module 1, and for that I used iMovie, as this was built into my Macbook and seemed the easiest option at the time. As I had finished my prototype and case study in good time, I thought it was a great opportunity to see if I could advance my video-editing tools further.
I watched a few YouTube tutorials, and it didn’t take long to feel comfortable with the software. Whilst my video was by no means advanced, I was please with how easily I could edit together video clips, recorded with my iPhone and tripod, adding transitions and overlays to add a further layer of professionalism.
Anyway, take a look at my video below.
SMART goals
My current SMART goals are:
1: I will improve my time management in order to improve my workflow. I will achieve this by using Kandan boards to visualise my weekly tasks, as well as setting aside two hours every evening to focus on my studies.
2: I will improve my knowledge of Adobe XD and Figma by continuing to carry out courses and watch tutorials on LinkedIn and YouTube. This will lead to an increase in my technical skills as a UX designer and will make me an integral part of a team. I will achieve this by setting aside two hours every Saturday morning purely for learning and development in technical areas.
3: I will do more reading on the weekly subjects. This will improve my knowledge and confidence in weekly study pods and make me a greater asset for future team work. It will also enrich my journal entries and allow me to reference more. I will set aside 3 hours on a Sunday Morning to read.
